What does a flooring job involve?
Flooring means taking out the old floor, laying the new one and finishing every edge. The steps:
- Take out the old. Old flooring and trim are removed and disposed of first.
- Lay the floor. Vinyl click flooring, for example, goes down piece by piece, each piece clicked into the last, and is cut to fit around walls and doorways.
- Finish the edges. Shoe moulding goes on wherever the new floor goes in.
What happens at the walls and doorways?
The floor is finished cleanly at every doorway and wall. Shoe moulding covers the edge wherever the new floor goes in, and baseboard goes in where it is missing. That is finish carpentry Reborn Renos does too: see doors, trim and millwork.
Will you do just one room, and how is it priced?
Yes. No job is too small, from a hallway to a whole floor. Every job is priced with you before work starts: small jobs at a set price, bigger jobs with a written quote. The quote is written line by line, each line with its own price, and HST (13%) is added at the end. See what a quote looks like.
Are you insured, and is the work guaranteed?
Yes to both. Reborn Renos is insured and covered by WSIB. Your satisfaction is guaranteed, as written in your contract. Reborn Renos is a new business, run by an owner with seven years in the trade. The common questions have the same answers.
Do you lay floors in rentals and businesses too?
Yes. The same flooring goes into apartments, rental units and commercial spaces, and it is part of a turnover between tenants. See apartment and commercial renovations.
